A self-taught Kenyan inventor is creating enviromentally friendly electric wheelchairs in order to help people with disabilities.

Lincoln Wamae invented the Liccel wheelchair for the Kenyan market. He is a committed environmentalist who creates wheelchairs from recycled material.

Besides the electric motor imported from China, he creates batteries from used laptops and seats from old office chairs.

The invention has made mobility easier for many. On a single charge the wheelchair can last for at least three days!

Lincoln hopes to mass-produce his products and sell them all over Africa.
