Emergency interventions against Covid-19 in Italy.
Roma, Ladispoli, Salerno, Roccapiemonte, March – May 2020.
At the end of March 2020, in the middle of the Covid-19 emergency in Italy, Nove Onlus started, an intervention in favour of individuals and families in dire straits, thanks to its donors’ support.
Nove Onlus operated in collaboration with the Italian Red Cross (Committees of Town Hall 2 and 3 and 15 and Santa Severa/Santa Marinella) and with Cooperativa L’Accoglienza, to buy and distribute enough foodstuffs for one month to 132 families and 161 homeless people in Rome and Ladispoli.
In Salerno and Roccapiemonte and through Opera Caritas Diocesana, together with Coldiretti, we distributed food stocks bought from local producers of Coldiretti and Cooperativa Sociale Esperanto that cultivates on lands seized from the mafia. We also donated Easter eggs to the families and 6,600 single-portion trays to San Francesco’s soup kitchen.
Operative partners: Italian Red Cross (XV Town Hall and II e III Town Hall in Rome and Santa Severa/Santa Marinella Committees), Cooperativa L’Accoglienza, Coldiretti Salerno, Cooperativa Sociale Esperanto.
Sponsor: Comitato Iniziative per la Città (PIC), MF Law.
