Children SOS. Rome and Milan.
Statistics show that more than 1.3 million Italian children (out of a total of 10 million) live in poverty, while nearly 100,000 are victims of ill-treatment or abuse. Nove Onlus helps children who have been denied the right to flourish physically and mentally.
It has tailor-made its interventions and provides specialized medical care, psychological support aimed at helping victims overcome severe trauma, educational support, basic goods and services, as well as the opportunity to play sports and engage in other therapeutic activities. The project also assists parents who are unable, for various reasons, to properly care for their children.
In 2015, the project assisted 24 children in need. In 2016, the scarcity of available resources meant that the project could provide for only four children. The interventions ended at the end of 2017.
